Description: Joint Component Assessment Software is a desktop software application designed for engineers who are engaged in the industry of bolted flange joint components. These components can be used then in heavy industry, machinery, chemical industry, oil and gas field operation. Application automates joint components parameters calculation and represents results in affordable format – as graphs and spreadsheets. There are also a number of supplementary features including live display of any parameter change effect, data exchange through secure API, selection of standard flange types from built-in materials library, reports export in PDF format applied by the industries and more.

Lightweight calculation module. The equations are written in C++ language. That’s why the calculation module is fast, compact, consumes minimum memory and processor resources thus giving a chance to run software on less powerful portable computers.
Step-by-step wizard helps to input parameters properly in the right order.
Built-in material library. Select component materials from the built-in materials library.
Live colourful charts. All visualized parameters are marked with their own color and supported with legend. Layout with charts is updated immediately when any of the parameters has changed.
Encrypted data. All data is encrypted on the fly through fast Security API with the latest encryption technologies.
Unit converter. Application supports US and European measurement units which can be switched at any time.
Reports export in PDF format. Reports include colorful charts, spreadsheets and texts representing input parameters and calculation results.
Integrated 3rd party license API for commercial usage. Guarantees legal usage of application.
Technologies used
The engine of the application is driven by C# technology. Telerik UI extends basic .NET UI controls with their own customizable items. Telerik Reporting is responsible for colorful charts and output reports. All progress is saved locally into the SQL Compact database. The programming layer between SQL Compact and application uses Linq2SQL technology. Installation process is automated by means of InstallShield technology.

Client requested to develop the following additional utilities:
- Database Upgrade Utility – utility upgrades database due to the schema.
- Database Editor – UI utility provides connection through secure layout to edit database data manually.
- Input File Upgrade Utility – utility updates input file of schema doesn’t match the newer one.
- Verification Cases Utility – utility outputs the difference between saved files.
- Version Upgrader – utility upgrades saved data file schema .
